Oil Paint Red
What is that red paint on my oil drain plug?
I was looking over my Toyota truck and noticed that red paint is oil drain plug and was wondering if there is something kind of lock set, although they like the red or blue lock tight is'nt. I need to figure out whether it's a good idea to my other vehicles or whether it is to use only one type of marker is the dealer uses to see if people screwed with her.
Your answers make sense and remember I live in car experiences while in Japan shortly. At regular intervals (every 3 years I think) cars were thoroughly inspected. This included any Nut and bolt on the car. To prove this inspection, orange color on all bolts and nuts tested was smeared. Thus arose often cheaper to replace a car, rather than inspection costs incurred.
